REGARDING CHESS BOOKS & "CLASSIC" CHESS BOOK LISTS

-
But of course...
-
Mr. Schoenfeld has his list published HERE and while I agree that these books are all classics I tend to think the books authored by Kasparov and the one book that Fischer contributed to ("My 60 memorable games") are WAY, WAY too advanced for most chess players. Much less beginners!

A classic book that should be any every list is "ZURICH 1953" by David Bronstein. If you want to improve, this book is a must have. Perhaps I will share with all of you folks what books are on my list at some point. But for now, I will limit myself to "Zurcih..." and to "PANDOLFINI'S ENDGAME COURSE" by Bruce Pandolfini. A great compilation of basic endgame knowledge which is the right place to start for anyone who wishes to improve as a chess player. I do not consider this to be a "heavy weight" book, it just happens to have all of the right information that the improving chess player needs.

Have a great weekend folks ~Mr_Theory.
